The Bible is a deeply patriarchal book, and yet, there are stories throughout that challenge this ideology of male supremacy. We will take a look at several verses that have been used to define women as inferior, secondary, and passive. From Paul's list of extraordinary female leaders at the end of Romans to why the serpent is forced to reason with Eve instead of Adam.
